Test render of a Compound piston engine for aviation.
Piston engine is a 14 cylinder, two row radial with reductor gears and cooling fan at the front. I have not represented the cooling fins in the cylinder surface because of memory limitations, but this will change soon in the definitive version of the design.
At the rear there is a mechanical supercharger for the cylinders, as usual in a radial, but behind this there is another radial compressor moved by a mechanical coupling from the piston engine. This compressor supplies air to a single combustion chamber at the rear.
At full power, I have calculated that the rear compressor take 39% of the power generated by the piston engine.
