Description
Descriptive cutaway.
A new version of an old design: this time with steam turbine propulsion derived from the use of the monopropellant T-Stoff (Hydrogen Peroxide).
Without doubt, this is inquestionably a wartime German design; they mastered the use of this perilous substance of high concentrated energy, and applied T-Stoff to a variety of exotic applications: rocket fuel for aircraft and missiles, catapult steam generator, take-off assistance, underwater propulsion for submarines and torpedoes, and turbopump movement

Nice detail.
Indeed, though the one big problem I do believe was that the production facility for all of the T-Stoff etc was in one big place. Once the Allies bombed it into a crater a lot of the Me 163 flight were cancelled as the T-Stoff was then rationed to V-1 launches and such.
Still...it wasn't the best fuel with which to fly...
Though, contrary to popular belief, no actual 163 exploded when fuelled. There was one case where a pilot was severely injured/killed by a leak and I think there was one problem on landing where a fuel tank hadn't been properly 'purged' of its vapour.
Much cheers to you and yours.
