TRACKED-LEGGED COMBAT ROBOT by CUTANGUS TRACKED-LEGGED COMBAT ROBOT by CUTANGUS
This is a different version of an automatic combat vehicle already shown. In this one, we found four articulated legs with a track mechanism, to allow for a full all-terrain capability.

some how i see this as a recon drone rather then a combat drone from its light weapon load. but it would make a good one! haha

Very nice work. Have you seen "Wolf's Rain", per chance?

WR = "Wolf's Rain"
And I was looking for pictures of the sentry robot from Wolf's Rain that was in the 5th or 6th or so episode.
Because you said "Wolf's Rain" in your post, my Google search terms resulted in this page and text from your post. XD

Yeah, I realized what you meant about 2 seconds after clicking "Add Comment" X|

That thing is super badass. I don't understand how there isn't more fan art of it.

I think it looks cool.

What, if any, purpose to the small 5 tube 'retro thrusters' serve.

Very interesting vehicle, the track system is really clever, I guess it can roll in all directions as much as it can crawl. Maybe the weaponry is the weak point, I don't see how it could reload itself and the gun barrels seem unable to absorb the firing recoil.

Very nice work anyway! :)
What software did you model it with ?

Dear friend: I use SolidWorks for basic modeling and all the rest of geometry and final render in 3D Studio 5.

About the weaponry: all the head, the upper body, can steer to point the guns in any direction, and the individual turrets can elevate/depress the guns. The breech mechanism is hidden beneath a bolted plate, and the ammunition drums are in the turret drum, so the entire turret body need to be removed to reload the complete ammunition reserve, so only can be done safe from enemy action. All two turrets are designed as enclosed devices, the empty cases returning to the ammo drums. The right turret houses a 20mm. six tube gatling gun in the Vulcan class, and the left turret houses a pair of 37mm automating guns, whose recoil mechanism lies beneath the turretarmored plate.
