Interesting idea, and definitely a means of saving space! However, if there were a rotor or blade failure during operation, would the gas turbine's design be adequate to contain the fragments and prevent a serious fuel tank breach?

A question: If the rotor fails, do you need to worry about a fuel tank breach? I guess you'd have many more things to worry about in the event of rotor/blade/turbine failure... ;)

Yes, it is a possibility, although remote, and the fuel tanks can be damaged in the event, maybe catching fire in the process. Go to land inmediatelly, landing rough on the sixt robust legs.
